BR still growing
Friday, February 22, 2008 Update
Feeling good about my recent comeback, it was time to get back into the game full force. Friday night is no exception and I bought into my normal nightly tournaments.
First was the 7:00PM $4/$0.40 limit holdem tournament that I chopped in last night. Then the 7:45PM $1/$0.10 HORSE tournament. I decided that I would stay away from ring games for a while as that began my last death spiral. So in order to occupy my time and multi-task a few games, I also bought into a $4/$0.40 180 person sit n go. I love this sit n go and it's a great game to get into when there are no tournaments you are interested in as one starts about every 5 minutes.
I play well in all tournaments, but eventually fall out of the limit holdem and HORSE tournament beating out half the field, but never gaining any real momentum for a deep run. At the same time, I am running well in the 4/180 and feel a top 5 finish. With 50 players left I hang in the top 10 and eventually make the final 9. I play well and am in position to take the tournament down. 5 players left and I am second in chips. 1st place pays $216 and I am anticipating a nice pay day. While nearing the fourth hour in the tournament, I make a move and give away half my stack. Unable to recover I make my exit in 4th place for $57.60. It's a terrible feeling being at the final table and not taking it down. It's late, I'm wired and I have to do some weekend work in the morning. Hopefully the rest of the week will go well.
Bankroll Total: Approximately $265.00
